ASSAILLIT GETS EARLY KUMHO SERIES XMAS PRESENT
Assaillit and his family team have secured the use of the Falcon that was formally raced in the V8 Supercar Development Series by Luke Youlden Ryan Hansford Brett Hobson and David Besnard.
The car was a chassis at the now-defunct WPS Racing before Rob Dawsons team eventually finishing building it and the car debuted on the track at Bathurst in 2008.
It has done very little racing and hasnt raced since the final round of the Development Series in Sydney in 2010.
Assaillit feels its the perfect car for next years Kumho Series which is held for ex-V8 Supercars as part of the Shannons Nationals.
“I am very excited and I have USQ Engineering supporting me for the 2013 V8 Touring Car Series Assaillit said.
“I will be competing in a new BF Falcon which is the latest eligible model for the V8 Touring Car Series and it will be a great looking car emblazoned with the golden Phoenix.
“It will be great to get in a newer car and well definitely be looking to win some races.
“Of course I will be doing this alongside my academic side at USQ. Ill be putting in the hard work!The 2013 Kumho Series will begin at Sydney Motorsport Park on March 23-24 next year with Assaillits home round at Queensland Raceway in Ipswich on August 3-4.Assaillit made his Kumho Series debut at this years Queensland Raceway round in his family-owned and run ex-Kevin Waldock Falcon EF.
He will continue his study at USQ under the Elite Athlete Program that makes provisions for athletes in competition the same program under which Australian Test Cricketer Shane Watson also developed.
The 2013 Kumho Series will begin at Sydney Motorsport Park on March 23-24 next year with Assaillits home round at Queensland Raceway in Ipswich on August 3-4.
