Rullo On A Roll
Rullo was clear from the start and never threatened as McAdam and Devjak settled in to positions two and three. Kostecki and Briffa were the next two tracking along in unison until the latter had rising engine temperatures which forced him to back off and let Heck go by.
Ultimately Briffa was lucky to hang on to sixth as Jim Pollicina in the once-Tasman Motorsport VZ was right with him when they crossed the finish line. Lyle Kearns was next in another PMM Holden ahead of Scott Loadsman who made his return to the series in a WPS Falcon run out of the Briffa operation.
John Vergotis (BJR Falcon) was tenth ahead of the Stone Brothers Falcon BF of Chris Smerdon coming back through the field after spinning earlier to finish ahead of Brendan Strongs Commodore.
Chris Delfsma was an early retiree as his Falcons qualifying problems with fouling spark plugs continued while Matt Palmer made a slow start in his Falcon stormed through to sixth before retiring to the pits.
