Robotham completes the perfect debut with another race win
Jay Robotham has dominated Round 1 of the V8 Touring Car Super3 Series at Sydney Motorsport Park, securing another race win today.
The 17-year-old rookie was untouchable today, leading from the front and mixing firmly with the top 10 runners in the Super2 Series.
Declan Fraser finished a consistent second, also getting valuable experience mixing with Super2 runners and gaining lots of experience on what was also his debut.
Third in the race, was Jon McCorkindale, while BJR’s Madeline Stewart finished fourth and sits third in the series.
Jim Pollicina finished fifth ahead of Brendan Strong who was caught up in a clash with Super2 Zane Morse early in the race. Despite the incident, Strong was able to come away as the top placed Super3 Cup runners.
James Gomersall, James Masterton and Jack Sipp rounded out the Super3 runners.
The next round of Super2 and Super3 is scheduled for Sandown on September 19-20, pending government allowances considering the COVID-19 health pandemic.
