Auddino Racing plans for strong 2021 Super3 attack

Family team Auddino Racing has launched their 2021 Dunlop Super3 Series campaign, with big targets and an uninterrupted season the goal for the privateer outfit.

After a year of upheaval for the once Victorian-based Auddino crew, the team plans to contest the full 2021 schedule with their BF Ford Falcon this year.

For owner / driver Tony Auddino, a former Saloon Car and V8 Ute competitor, the new season brings new optimism following a challenging year.

“2020 was a tough year for us. I had to relocate my family – Wife, and two sons (aged 5 and 2) – from Victoria to Western Australia.

“I work in the mines and I hadn’t seen them in six months due to the border closures and the challenges of getting back from WA.

“So it’s been a big year off-track – I’m looking forward to getting back on it and focussing on racing.”

The Auddino Racing squad prepares and engineers their own car as a small, in-house outfit and completed a full rebuild of the Falcon across 2020, while industry veteran Peter Wallis came on board to complete a rebuild of the engine.

“We’re a small family operated team running on a tight budget and all the work is completed by us,” Auddino explained.

“Unlike the big teams, I prep the car, transport the car to and from the track, work on all the sponsorship and marketing.

“But it’s all worthwhile when I get behind the wheel; you soon forget about the stresses of getting there!”

Auddino has welcomed long-term sponsor Crusher Parts International back – for their third season – amidst a host of supporters for the 2021 season, which they hope will see them contest the entire schedule.

“We plan to complete the full season and we’re especially excited to race on the Mountain twice this year,” he said.

“We aim to be in the top five of the Super 3 Cup category, and top 10 overall. It’s great to have Crusher Parts International continuing as our naming rights sponsor for the third straight year, and the continued support of all our amazing sponsors.”

The opening round of the 2021 Dunlop Super3 Series will be contested at Mount Panorama, Bathurst between February 26-28.
