New livery, sponsor for McCarthy Falcon

Dunlop Super3 Series young-gun Reef McCarthy has unveiled a new sponsor to adorn his Image Racing Ford Falcon this weekend at Winton.

The Erebus-Academy supported driver has locked in family-owned civil construction form Fabcon Pty. Ltd. for the second round of the series, which comes with a striking new livery as well.

McCarthy impressed in his DS3 debut at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, in February despite having limited time behind the wheel of his Falcon prior to the round.

He qualified third – behind the experienced Jon McCorkindale and Blake Fardell – before finishing fifth and fourth in the two races, respectively.

McCarthy will also this weekend support the STOP. One Punch Can Kill campaign, designed to raise awareness about one-punch attacks and stopping street and social violence.

McCarthy hasn’t been idle since the opening round of the Super3 series, dovetailing his Supercar commitments with a campaign in the Victorian State Race Series’ Formula Vee category.

Braving torrentially wet and changeable conditions at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit recently, he qualified on pole and won all three races – including the finale’ by a scant 0.02s.

The forecast for this weekend calls for clear if cold conditions for the Winton SuperSprint.
Dunlop Super3 series cars hit the track on Friday for practice ahead of two races, one each on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
