Revised Super3 Series schedule to be announced
A revised Dunlop Super3 Series schedule will be announced in due course, following official confirmation that the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will no longer proceed this year.
Set to be the final round of the combined Super2/Super3 series, the popular Queensland event has been cancelled for the second straight year thanks to Covid-19.
An announcement from Supercars today (Monday) confirmed that the event would no longer take place this December on account of the ongoing safety and logistic concerns brought about by the pandemic.
It would have marked the second Super3/V8 Touring Car round held on the famous street circuit following the categories debut there in 2018 (lead image).
Super3 category management is working closely with Supercars and Dunlop Super2 organisers to finalise the final rounds of the 2021 schedule, with an announcement expected soon.
Three rounds have been completed so far this year, commencing at Mount Panorama in February followed by a pair of back-to-back events on the streets of Townsville in July.
