CONFIRMATION today that Shae Davies will graduate to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship with Erebus Motorsport means the Kumho Tyre Australian V8 Touring Car Series has its first full time main-game graduate.

Davies won the 2013 Kumho series driving a BA Ford Falcon for Fernandez Motorsport, splitting his season between the Kumho series campaign and a tilt at the Carrera Cup Championship with Team Kiwi Racing.

2016 Schedule

THE Kumho Tyre Australian V8 Touring Car Series has a fresh five-round calendar for the 2016 series with two exciting, significant changes over previous years.

The series will compete at V8 Supercars Championship events next year for the first time, supporting the V8 Supercars at Winton in May and Queensland Raceway in July with live television coverage on FOX Sports to be included.

Another major addition to the 2016 calendar is the category’s debut appearance at the Muscle Car Masters, which next year will be held on the last weekend of October for the first time in the event’s decade-long history. It will form the final round of next year’s series.

The 2016 V8 Touring Car Series will be contested over five rounds in three states:
