Anderson sets early Townsville pace
Dunlop Super3 Series contender Michael Anderson has topped the series’ first ever session on the streets of Townsville.
Anderson’s 1m18.0391s best saw him finish just 0.2 seconds ahead of Nash Morris’ similar FG Falcon at the end of the 40-minute practice session.

Anderson is the defacto series leader given Round 1 winner Jon McCorkindale’s step up to Super2 for this weekend – he finished 14th overall of the second tier runners.
Jason Gomersall was third in his Matt Stone Racing Ford with the top three DS3 contenders split by just three-tenths of a second.
Blake Fardell was fourth while Reef McCarthy was fifth on his first ever look at street circuit aboard his Image Racing / Erebus Academy Ford.
Brendon Strong was sixth while David Murphy was strong on his debut in seventh. Chris Smerdon, Steven Page and Gary Collins completed the Super3 field, with a second practice session scheduled for 1:35pm local time today.
That session will be shown live on Fox Sports 506 and Kayo Sport, while the pair of races will also be shown live and free on the Seven Network this weekend.
